Bonjour et Bienvenue!

This blog, run by Super-Senior Luke Meyer, is to help show the life of a Ball State student going through everyday college life. With this blog, I hope to help any prospective students decide whether or not this is the right college for them.

Rules are made to be broken...right?

WRONG!  And believe me, although I learned this today, someone else on the Ball State campus hasn't figured that out.  Let me explain...

The marching band rehearses out at West Campus Field (out by Ball Memorial Hospital) and I drive out there every rehearsal.  Well, Parking Services never comes to check the lot while the band rehearses, so I have never received a ticket for not having a permit.  Well, I held a sectional on Friday at 2 right before rehearsal...and didn't even think twice about driving there.  A few minutes into the sectional, a BSU vehicle drives up and parks...and sits for a long time.  We started wondering if he was actually going to get out and check.  If he did, I was just going to run to my car and move it because he had parked on the other side of the lot.  Well, he finally gets out of his car and I start to head to my car, but he beats me to it...he had walked to MY side of the lot to start...and I could do nothing except sit and watch my car get ticketed.  Oh well, c'est la vie.

As I started to get upset, I remember a sight from earlier in the week.  I was walking past Noyer (one of the dorm complexes) and noticed a car sitting at a meter that was (and still is) literally decorated with tickets!  Just for kicks, I whipped out my handy-dandy blogging camera and snapped a quick picture to include with this post.  Now, if this doesn't just make your jaw drop, I don't know what will.  So with that story, I leave you with the pic...cherish it, respect it, learn from it.  Until next time...
